Chief Editor:
Malik Rashid is a Toronto based columnist with nearly 30 years of experience of political analysis, South Asian diplomacy and grass root activism. Malik is published at some of the leading alternative digital media of South Asia. He is known for incisive analysis, and dilligence to detail.
Malik is responsible for overall tone and editorial direction of SADATV.
He recieved BA and MA from University of Karachi.
Chief Correspondent:
Ibrahim Sajid Malick has over 20 years of news media and communications experience from reporting for daily newspapers and digital media to technical writing and communications for Fortune 100 companies. He has worked for SAMAA TV, Daily News, Frontier Post, Muslim, Duetsche Welle, SAMWonline, and contributed for BBC. He covered Afghanistan in late 1980s and wrote a book, “Afghanistan Dorahay par” (Afghanistan on cross roads). Previously, Ibrahim owned and operated SAMWonline, Asia’s one of the first news portal and managed a team of 73 including 21 journalists.
Ibrahim completed Diploma in TV Production from Center for Media Arts, in New York in 1985, BA from University of Karachi in 1987 and M.A Anthropology fromNew School for Social Research University, New York in 1992.
Bureau Chief – India:
Pramilla Srivastava is a veteran journalist with 10 years both alternative and mainstream American media experience. Pramilla has covered high profile events, interviewed global leaders who shape the world opinion and produced radio documentaries that have won accolades and awards.
After attending University of Pennsylvania for undergraduate work, she moved to New York when she completed graduate studies in Anthropology from New School for Social Research.
Pramilla manages a team of correspondents and stringers from several Indian cities.
Editor, Civil Society:
Rakesh Kumar is a senior journalist with extensive experience of covering NGO, civil society and development. Rakesh has worked for Hindi and English language print media. With wide range of editorial, operational, organizational, and administrative skills, Rakesh is responsible for day-to-day operations as well.
Rakesh recieved BA and MA in Journalism from Jawahar Lal Nehru University in Dehli, India.
Editor, Education:
Dr. Shams Hamid is a post-doctorate fellow at the University of Toronto. He has nursed and cared for SADATV for past six years.
Chief Technology Officer:
Ali Saif is one of Pakistan’s leading technologist with nearly 10 years of digital media experience. He has been affiliated with this team for all those 10 years. He was part of the launch of SAMWOnline and later helped us crate the IT platform for SADATV.
